After a gruesome twist of circumstance, cocky and unethical young criminal defence attorney Michael Gray finds himself incarcerated in South River State Penitentiary. Gray is all of a sudden framed for the murder of one of his clients, and under the unsympathetic eye of Superintendent Sands and prison guard Ray Clement. Locked inside Cell 213, a dingy and nightmarish cell, he falls prey to unnatural forces that are vying for his soul, while the question of his guilt and innocence hangs in the balance.
