What turned a married father of two into Britain’s most prolific hitman? In 1979 John Childs pleaded guilty to the murders of six people including a ten-year-old child. He claimed to have set up a contract killing business with two other notorious criminals where they disposed of the victims in the fireplace of his East London council flat. However, many questions remain over the truth of his chilling confessions. Did he really kill more people than the Moors Murderers?
