Grease Monkeys is a uniquely dark comedy drama series described by Ahsen Bhatti, who plays the show's central character Dave, as "Only Fools and Horses on acid". It’s is a surreally dark collection of stories about a dysfunctional Asian family, all of whom work in the family business, Grand Trunk Garage. The business is owned by patriarch Mo, who spends his time worrying about his beautiful daughter Rita, an ace mechanic who is obsessed with cars and has no interest in boys, let alone finding a nice Asian boy to settle down with. As if that wasn’t enough to contend with, there’s also the ghost of his dead wife Jasbir (and a talking dog).
