Republic of Doyle follows the very amusing and often chaotic relationships within the Doyle Private Investigation firm, run by father and son team, Malachy and Jake Doyle. Old charmer and ex-policeman Malachy and his 30-something son Jake take on a variety of cases from a good old-fashioned Brinks Mat style heist and insurance fraud to cheating spouses and the odd homicide. Intriguing and full of action, no two cases are ever the same and, together, in this sleepy sea-side town where everyone knows your name, the Doyles face small town crime on a grand scale.
